Biography

 

Kristina Tinoco was born in Atlanta, Georgia and raised throughout the south in Louisiana, Florida and Texas. She is of Mexican/ Spanish and European decent. Dreaming of a better life and armed with perseverance and pure dedication, Kristina set her sights on show business.


From a very young age Kristina would find any way to perform, recording movies and putting on plays for her brothers. Then an opportunity arose for her to attend the Barbizon School of Modeling in Atlanta. She later participated in a worldwide competition at IMTA in Los Angeles, winning a commercial print award out of 400 other competitors. Kristina then started attending acting workshops, and was even selected for a movie on the Lifetime Television Network.


Out of that long audition process, she began working privately with Susan Shalhoub. She had weekly acting lessons, studying with two acting coaches throughout high school. She was also involved in her theatre group at Jonesboro High School where she won “Actress of the Year." Knowing that she wanted to become a working actress she often dreamed of moving to New York City. So three weeks after graduating from high school, she packed her bags and moved in order to attend The American Musical Dramatic Academy in Manhattan, where was awarded with a full scholarship.


Kristina Tinoco currently resides in New York City working as an actor and personal assistant to a musician. She has recently taken up a few new hobbies including screenwriting, 5pc drums and tap dancing. She is also taking an acting scene study class at HB Studios in the West Village. Kristina is living proof that with dedication and an unwavering heart, anything is possible.
